**New** legally improved All-Reds on my 99...***PICS***

Well, i had to re-do my tails, simply because of legal reason, i mean i had red reverse lights. Well, you know the drill if you saw my last pics, my digi is sucking a$$ right now, so heres a quick pic i snapped....

The old...

The NEW...much cleaner IMHO...and legal...

Thanks for the comments. Im not sure i will be painting these again anytime hotmax, lol. This was more painstaking than the first shot. But, the reason i did the clear part like i did was because the reverse light does not touch any part of the red. If i slimmed down the clear, you would start seeing red/white when i reverse, get what im
saying?

And MrEous, i kinda like the DTM too, but on darker cars. Ive seen it done to a sunlit sand max and it looked horrible. Its all about the color man. Sunlit sand is so hard to do **** externally to (AE headlights, altezzas, etc).

That does look good. I like it a lot better now with those reverse lights. I think we are just used to seeing those, and when it didn't have them, it looked funny. Nice job. You are quick with that.

I think having tint is a major factor...my car without tint and DTM didn't look so nice. But now that I have tint it matches up REALLY well.

Seriously though, good job on your tails!

i dig...i think if you used three or 4 slashes like these / / or these \ \ having the /\ be clear. but across the entire bottom inside lights. i don't like the 1/2 clear half red looks odd. an easy photochop but im lazy ...just an idea i hope i explained it right....

Nope, if ya read my post, my digi is messed up. You can see the distortion of colors in the pic. It made the picture darker than it really should have been. I have normal "dark" tint...

Im running on slightly oversized 225/55-16inch tires which account for .2 inch "more" drop.

I think the DTM looks alright on certain color cars. Notably black and such. On lighter color cars it just doesnt look right...of course just my opinion...

The All-red looks FAR cleaner than the red/whites you had now. In the end the best is still red/cleal (the common way)

Suddenly I'm seeing all this photos of "DTM" which, I can tell, is a darker (tinted?) color for the clear lights. What does DTM stand for and how do you make them and/or how much do they cost? TIA.

DTM stands for Dallas Tailight Mod, and it is simply Red/Clears that have been tinted using spraypaint on the inside of the tailight (correct me if Im wrong people).

The all-red tailights look sick! Your car looks awesome too, nice drop, great looking exhaust, etc. . . But yeah, great job on the tails, I really like em!
