I have a spare 12" LCD panel from an IBM Thinkpad. It's only a TFT color so not the best but if I could get it to work, I have a 13" Active matrix If need be. What would I have to do to get it to work in my car?(besides power) Could it be used for a in car PC AND as a video monitor? As I understand it a Panel is a Panel, and its the circuitry that determines what signal can be used. What does everyone think. I've been tossing the idea around in my head for a while now, but after what I've seen on here today, I hope someones got the skilz to give me a little advice.
Thanks

I don't know if you'd need a controller card or what to run it but what I suggest is that you head over to http://www.mp3car.com. Go on the boards there and ask them. They know alot about all that crap and are really willing to help. I know that's where I get all my info. =)

Good luck, and let us know how it works out!

I have a similar question, I have a 14.1" LCD screen from a notebook computer that's just sitting there, I will be happy if I can use it as monitor with my PC.

CRAZY IDEAS

That would be cool if you could have a program hooked up to your car that could tell the cars temp, boost, air/fuel ratio, ect.

The R34 GTR in Japan already has a LCD screen with all that neat stuff on it form the factory.
