I see the stock times for a auto VG are 17 in the 1/4mi when I ran a 16.6 I had a perfomance muffler and a K&N drop in filter does that mean that my car is performing above or below expectation, I realize that it is 8 years old and over time seals get old and compression get's lost and cars won't perform as they did right out of the box but i would like to keep mine as high as possible.....given that I am comparing my numbers those of a new max.

From what I've seen at the track last year....

most GXE's with intake(not CAI) and muffler run 16.5-.7+/-, unfortunately I ran a 17.1, but only because I SERIOUSLY botched my "torque-brake" launch on my already slipping tranny!! hopefully this April now that I'm fully tuned up, maintenece wise, I can get into the mid 16's!

yo nevin.....

remember a while ago about the disputed ve auto numbers? well i went out and tested mine and forgot to post them! anyways, i ran it 0-60. i found out some interesting stuff. 0-60 ve auto - 8.4 seconds. the interesting part: i decided to try the "resistor mod". ve auto with unplugged resistor - 8.2 seconds. just thought that was interesting. i dont know if anyone had actually tested the car with the resistor unplugged. not as good as i hoped, but certainly better than 8.8

theres a nice 1/4 mile stretch of road in front of a high school thats near me. its really flat, really smooth, and really straight. so that's where me and my bro go to test these things. we just used a stop watch. i drove and my bro clocked it. i'll try to get to the track to get some 1/4 times soon.
