Bad injectors???

I think my Maxima needs some new injectors. I remember when it was new and I kept going back to the dealer. What's wrong with them. My car just chokes btw. Is there an anser to this? And what are the effects? bad gas milage??? etc.

You could try running some Seafoam through the car. That might clean it up a bit.

However, the proper way is to take them out and get them professionally cleaned (or try to rig something up yourself). Be sure to replace the O-rings when you put them back in though.

i just replaced the remaining unserviced 5 of mine with new ones. the hose running from the fuel pump was leaking at the intake side, and that was replaced as well. if an injector does not work at all, a dead cylinder occurs and the car becomes barely drivable; has no power, sounds like a lawn mower. the gas mileage goes from already mediocre to pathetically awful.

i had a combination of some of the injectors working erratically, and one totally dead. if your car is old, then just get new injectors imo. mine is a 90SE. i have never known what totally new injectors and a clear fuel line felt like. and man, the car is like a different vehicle. i had the intake ports cleaned as well, as they were pretty nasty. time to clean the air filter in the fender well.

i don't understand what the snowman means.

From: Skokie (look it up)
nissan has a bad injector design.
They tend to fail faster than any other make that I know of.
Luckily you have the "newer" design injector which is rebuildable and can be had for a reasonable price.
I have put 4 rebuilts in my max so far. (all different cylinders) the only reason that it's only 4 and not six is that I was originally gonna sell the car. so I did the 3 it needed.
Then another one went out, but it was the front dead center one, so I just had that one done in 20 mins. no pint in opening the intake to do more.
thoughh I'm sure I'll have to do the other 2 in the near future.
BTW you can save on shipping if you want to pick up
