salt under the hood

so after a good drive i pop my hood to kiss my VQ good night and i noticed salt sh*t splatter on the hood and all over the right side of the bay.

It seemed to be coming in from the pop-latch area hitting the beam and splattering all over my battery, intake, area. the filter is getten hit too... that can't be too good.

Has anyone else experienced this, if so how did you fix it, i'm thinken of shield to go behind the latch cut-out in the grill.

I post pics tomarrow in the day if anyones still lost
