I've read all the info about the EVAP, but i cant quite grasp exactly what it does. If someone could explain it to me that'd be great. Also, I got the code 1008, which referrs to this. The car is running fine now. Will it keep running fine if I dont do anything? Any info is appreciated - THANKS

 

It captures the vapors from your fuel tank and burns them by releasing them into your intake when conditions are right.
