Does Anyone Else Have Problems With Their Tires Humming Constantly.i Have An Se And Im Not Sure If Its The Car Or The Garbage Goodyears They Put On The Car.

 

It is the tires, when I am on the rubberized asphalt they are quiet, but as soon as I hit the cement, they are quiet loud.

 

I've got the SL, and mine are quite loud on the cement as well...

 

It's partly the tires and partly the lack of sound-deadening used on the car.

My RS-A's hum on some concrete surfaces (the kind with a coarse finish), but are quiet on smooth ones and on asphalt. My wife's CTS has the same tires, though, and they are way more quiet. So it has to be better sound-deadening in the Caddy.

The architecture of the suspension and soundpaths created by the body's general harmonics can also have a lot to do with noise transmission. Aside from the noise, I have no problem with the Goodyears ... you might find that if you spent a wad on some high-dollar Michelins you'd still have noise!
