changing color of my dashboard...few questions..
ok, i'm going to convert my tan dashboard into black. a few guys on the board gave me some photos of there finished product and looks awesome. i noticed G2 interior spray has gloss black, and flat black. should i get the flat black instead of the glossy one? also, would it be worth it to just a buy a dashboard off car-part.com?

Well, i have a few pictures of that were sent to me but another .org member and it came out good. I forgot his name, hopefully he see's this post and responds. The dye/paint he used was made by SEM or CEM. There's another product called G2 Interior Spray but it's like $18/bottle, and I'm pretty sure we will need two or three to do the whole dashboard and center console. My plan is to get the dashboard, steering wheel, and center console painted. Next step is to buy some black door panels and put a tan leather or tan vinyl piece where the leather/cloth is. Then buy some two-tone black/tan leather seat covers from www.leatherseats.com I think that interior would be sick and only a few maxima owners have. Check out the photo gallery from www.leatherseats.com and check out the 2000 Jetta GLS. That's how I want mine to look. But yet, I'm still unsure about which paint to use? The flat black or gloss black? I'm thinking flat black because our maxima's dash aren't shiny unless we ArmorAll it. If anyone wants to see those pictures of the painted dash, let me know. Thanks!

I have seen a max with a painted dash; can't remember where I saw it at but, it looked like the person used gloss. It looked pretty tight. I'm just not sure if it's what I'm looking for. I liked his color scheme though. It definitely put ideas into my head. I think I'm going to try and find/buy a factory dash and then paint it the scheme I want; primarily black of course.
You're going with the Black w/tan accent interior? That'll be sweet. My favorite color is Green. My Max is Green so, I'm going with a green theme. Black interior accented green. Engine bay green, paint the center dash pieces (i.e. shifter trim, radio trim, etc.) Green. And when I'm done with performance and Cosmetics...My paint job. I have three Awesome ideas for a custom paint job. Oh it's going to be great... Anyways...
Please, I would like to see those pictures.
Thanks.

Yeh, I'm going to keep the headliner and carpet tan. My friend back in the day had a 1990 Accord EX. His dashboard was all black along with the steering wheel, and the rest of the interior was tan. Plus it was a black car anyway. I think it looked 100X better than having my brown dash.
