Swapping in a 99 vq30de into 95 max se

Swapping in a 99 vq30de into 95 max se

Is there any issues with doing this swap? I am hearing different opinions on this and was wondering. I know you can swap parts off the 95 motor to the 99 motor. Any ideas,opinions, help,etc???????????

if you do that you cant get an aftermarket ecu, if you car.

i think the 95-96 were obd1 and the 97+ are obd2= different emissions, i dont know how this would effect a swap.

Wow, the motors are the same(mostly) but the ECU will be a problem. ALL 4th gens are OBD2(every car model year 96 up is OBD2 or something else) according to
Dave B and there is NO aftermarket ECU for a 99.

one of the members did a 97 engine into a 96 swap and he end up having to swap all the ecu wires. The 99 is even more sophisticated as far as electronics go. I suggest you try to find a 95 or 95 one
