Re-grounding headlights??

I remember reading awhile back on here that you can make your headlights brighter by re-grounding them... Today when i put on my lights I noticed that the driver's side was a lil' brighter than the passengers side... If anyone knows anything about this and/or how and where to re-ground the headlights, it would be really apppreciated... thanks.

Oooh

I know how.
Get new sockets, re connect both + wires, ground ground wire directly on the metal brackets behind the headlights and side markers.

btw, this is not very related, but kinda. Some people have purchased pre-made harnesses. These harnesses have 1 socket that plugs into the stock driver side socket to use as trigger for the relays. However, some members complained they have lost their high beams. The fix is to not only ground the bulb to the body, but also send 1 ground back to the original socket. For some reason, our high beams use the "ground" side to work the high beams. This would explain the polarity switch when I tried using an HID conversion that wouldn't high beam.
