exedy or act clutch for future turbo maxima

what's the difference between both and which is better for high horsepower,, feel free to recomend anything else....thnx

They are both the same exact clutch. The only difference is the pressure plate. The ACT is rated at 39% over stock, while the Exedy is rated at 36% over stock if im not mistaken. You will more likely than not pay more for the ACT.


I personally went with the Exedy Stage 1 and i love it....

so stage 1 is good for turbo 400hp or stage 2 is better , i heard there is a possibility to blow the tranny with stage 2 is there anyway to avoid that by beefing up the tranny or something like seals or whatever i'm new to manuals i have an automatic and i'm doing the conversion real soon and going turbo right after so i'm trying to do it right from the beginning

The amount of pressure aids in the amount of power it can hold. the higher the pressure, the more it can hold...and the quicker our tranny will take a **** on you.

Im pretty sure a stage 1 will hold whatever power you will be putting down...
