Carbon Fiber Hoods on 4th gen: who has one ?

Hey I ordered a carbon fiber hood Monday (yesterday) and I wanted to hear from any other maxima peeps who have one as well.

Where did you get it ? And what are your opinions, thoughts, or reviews of the cf hood concerning fitment, quality and whatever else you might be able to dream up.

Any do's and don'ts for me to take note of would be great as well !

Thanks - carbon fiber all the way !

Thier hood looks great, but their warranty sections leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. As quoted from thier site:

All products sold by GTP International, Inc. are sold “as is” to the customer. GTP International, Inc. does NOT offer warranty on any of the products sold. If warranty is offered by the manufacturer, warranty documentation will be sent with the product.

That alone is enough for me to look to RedlineMax for their hood. If GTP won't even going warranty poor workmenship, why would I even consider spending $399 on a hood.

Thats a nice hood. I like the construction of the underside. Look to be real solid.
Couple of questions, were the washer nozzle holes predrilled?
Would you still recommened hood pins?

ok there was no shipping charge since I go and install there for the picture purpose.

and yes GTP is now in irvine no longer in walnut its so much bigger then before.

and warranty issue since i never had any problem with any of their product i wouldnt mind but if u do then go w/ redlinemax.

yes, the windshield nozzle is pre drilled

for the hoodpin...hmmm tough... its totally upto you. i had it on my 240 but on my maxima i think im not going to get a hoodpin... (i forgot to close my hood completely today and i was going on freeway 80mph and hmm hood is still there so i think its pretty strong but who knows)

just make sure you check the hood when it comes in. my car is in the body shop and when my CF Hood arrived its was broken in half. now I have to wait longer before I can get the car back.

If you guys are looking to get a CF hood, there is a current GD that needs 4 more 4th genners to get in on it, to get going 400 Shipped. Quality of the above looks nice. So does the one in the deal, though I'm not sure if it is double sided or not.

I'm assuming you don't use any sound deadening material with a CF hood. Does it make that much of a difference? is it loud as hell?

A friend of mine used to have a 4th gen with a Fiber Images CF hood, and it sounded about the same as mine did with a normal hood.
