Has anyone ever smoked their WHOLE taillight?

Not the DTM mod...I'd like to smoke the whole taillight. Dark enough to notice it's smoked but light enough to still see red in daytime. What kinda paint should I use, etc.?
Don't use TESTORS transparent tint. For the love of god don't use that crap. First when you paint it it's purple and after a day or 2 it's green/blue, really sux. I used that garbage on all my lights and it's EMBARRASSING. Had to remove it all with nail polish remover. Took like 2 hours just for the DCs and they were only 2 coats.

Had. I had redded out and tinted. When taking off the tint spray it also took off the red. I wanted to do it again but I'm waiting for it to get warm, that way I can just paint all the lights while they are on my car.

The thing turned blue/green like I said before. It just looked bad. I got no pictures, didn't get my digital cam til after. The only things still tinted are the headlights. Took a few coats off already but there is still a couple left. But it's BLUE/GREEN.
