HIDs- What causes the beam to flicker?

Hanabi 7000k 9004

Everytime I hit a bump or slam the door one of my beams flickers, well it doesnt flicker as in turn on and off rapidly, its more of a jiggle or bounce. If you shine the light against the wall and slam the door, you can see the beam pattern shake and flicker slightly. As it flickers, the beam remains at full brightness but it just shakes. What can cause that? Its not a serious thing since its not too noticable but Im just wondering if its the bulb or ballast or what.

BTW- the bulbs and headlight are secure and No water was ever in contact with the ballasts/bulbs and they are mounted in a place where they dont move around.

Why don't you shake your ballast / igniter and see if you can duplicate it.

yea maybe the bulb has been dropped before, and somehting happened to it that caused it to come loose where the glass connects to the plastic holder thingy. i had this problem with some hyper whites before i got my kit, it is extreamly annoying after awhile.
