4th gen for G35?

Last december I bought my wife a Carribean blue G35 when she totalled her 4th gen. Long story short, she wants a kid, need a back seat and I'm looking for another 4th gen. Thought I'd ask if there is anyone on here that was thinking of trading up. I only want what I owe which is right at private party value. I'm in the Nashville area but will travel.
I know its a long shot but it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks, Zack

I'm looking to sell my Max, but I'm only 16, and my dad said he'd pay only 3-4k towards a new car (new not being from the dealer, just a 97-99 SE). I'm in Memphis BTW.

I thought all g35's had a back seat ? My RSX is my family car , the g35 cant have a smaller back seat than a RSX. I have two 30-40 lb kids they make the back seat look huge.
I've seen the backseat on a g35 its way big enough. Unless its a money thing?

It could certainly work for a while. Part of the previously mentioned long story is that we travel alot and have two dogs that usually come along. You're right about it being big enoug for a kid. We may end up keeping it in the end. It's not an easy deccision by any means, it's a sweet car by any measure.

Looking for a late 4th gen, 98-99, relatively conservative mods if any. 50-80k miles. good condition. It will be my wifes vehicle so I guess i don't need a turbo. Now if it were mine.......

In case your serious: It really doesn't matter if you still owe. essentially I buy yours and you buy mine. the less you owe the less you have to pay. I'm not a tough bargainer. I just pay what its worth and save the bargaining for mexico.

What options does the G35 have? And what exactly is the Private party value? And how would your determine the value of the maxima if it has mods?

Blue book private party value (vs. retail value).

Its an auto with premium package. Black Leather, heated/electric seats, sunroof, homelink, Bose, dual zone climate control, auto dimming mirror. it also has a 3m clear bra (which has a great warranty) and simonizing (seven year warranty on the paint).

Those are the "options", there are a alot of other items that are standard for the G35 like xenon, heated mirrors etc.

As far as value of a car with mods....blue book plus a guestimate? You'll generally not get out near what you put in but it definitely adds value. mods also tend to shrink your customer base. I suggest looking at other cars for sale with similar mods, like an estimate/appraisal for a house.

The back seat is definitly big enough, i've been in the back, and it's comforable every where accept for head room if your over 5"10, if you under then you'll fit perfect. There is a ton of leg room, so the only thing i can think of is 4 doors.

You act like that cars a ferrari.. Its actually quite common on the roads. heh. If I were him, I would keep the G35 because unless its quite diff from the sedan (we have one), the legroom is pretty much the same, but it has a nicer finish than the maxima.
I hope you guys know that you arent getting a "steal" for the car... For a few of you guys wanting it, the private party will still be atleast 28k, and once you trade YOUR cars worth, which is like 7-8, you will still have to pay him 20k. Its not like you are trading cars + a "few" thousand. hah

It's not leg room I'm looking for. I don't intend to put a baby, or a suit case for that matter, on the floor. The g35 sedan is actually one of the vehicles we are looking at, It does have alot more "other" room. its my wifes car so the field is pretty wide open. she realy liked our last maxima, which is what brought me here. I intend to use it for travel and need room for passengers along with luggage. My current travel vehicle is a truck (extended cab) and as practical as it may seem here in TN, I am trying to do without putting a kid, or my dog, in the back of the truck.

It is certainly no steal. I'm just looking for somone who has intentions of trading up anyway. Like I did. It could be mutually beneficial.
