Stock muffler painted black with a Pilot Motorsports tip. The tip is mounted flush to the muffler, and I also cut most of the stock outlet pipe off.

I don't have pics up yet, but I just put a 2k muffler with chrome oval tip on my 4th gen. Looks great! I cut out the bumper a little to make it fit in there, and I am pleased. Looks different.

Very nice set up!!!

How do you like the sound? Do passengers complain drone or the system being to loud?

I love the sound, in fact I've gotten several compliments on the sound while people ride in my car. There is some drone when you're on the freeway and sometimes it gets pretty loud when you're going up a hill or something but it's nothing horrible. Very deep sound..

Brudaddy, where did you find the 5th gen muffler?

Ludacris, are you sure it doesn't sound bad (ricey)? Have you heard it from the outside? It looks awesome that's for sure. How hard was it to cut out part of the bumper to make it fit?

I've heard it MANY times from outside, very awesome sound. With the intake its a very deep and loud rumble, just a buff sound. I've heard other Maximas with mufflers and mine sounds the best so far IMO, other mufflers sounded higher pitched, not raspy like a Civic but just not as deep sounding. No ricey sound at all... I didnt cut the bumper, muffler shop did it...charged me $100 for install and bumper cutting. You could bring the car to a bodyshop and ask them to cut your bumper for a more professional look but it's gonna cost more.

One thing to take into consideration with a dual tip exhaust tho, if you're going to get a bodykit your only choice for the rear valence would be the Ionic Dynamics kit. I really wanted the stillen kit but the way my muffler is right now it would block the valence.

that's true, ludacris. How did you get your muffler tips to fit up in the hole in the bumper so much. I had my bumper cut by a body shop and then put that 5th gen muffler on at a muffler shop. It has the dual tips, and the hole in the bumper is large enough, but the muffler is as high up as the guy said it would go. It is just kind of sitting down at the bottom of the bumper. I am not sure if there is anything I can do about it.

It probably has something to do with the size of the muffler, my muffler itself wasn't much bigger (height-wise) than the tips..

Nice grapefruit launcher. Seriously though, fits perfectly up in the cutout.
