I'm in the great white North of Ontario Canada, so we're talking about temperatures that range from -13 degrees F (-25 C) to 32 F (0 C)

Anyone know what could possibly cause my 95 Max GXE to warm up just fine when parked, but as soon as I start driving, the temp guage dies and plummets, and the fan stops blowing heat. Fan keeps blowing, but the air is no longer heated.

I just thought it was strange that the car would heat up while parked, and then stop blowing heat while driving.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I wonder if your thermostat is stuck open. Try this, while the car is warming up, compare the heat of the engine to the radiator. The radiator should stay cool until the engine coolant gets to running temp (170 - 180 f, 75 - 80 c ???) and then heat up when the thero opens. If you can't repair it soon, unplug one or both fans or put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator. Watch your gauge! Diesel trucker do this to conserve heat with zippered panels.

Your thermostat is definitely stuck open. Read the FAQ for the replacement procedure.

 

on Thermostat. A flush & refill of your cooling system plus a new thermostat (very cheap) should fix you up.
