suspension upgrade

i want to upgrade the suspension on my 97 gxe. I am not going to race it, and i dont need not of the line stuff, but i do want my suspension to be comparable to at least that of the SE model. i have 107k on the original struts, and im assuming i need to replace these (the ride seems rough, plus i want better handeling). I will also get the reat sway bar and front strut brace. But what else is essential ? Shocks? I will be getting 17 inch rims too soon btw.

What the hell is the difference between GXE and SE suspension? Get freaken AGXs, springs, and RSB. Maybe some new bushings. I don't think SE supspension is going to help you.

I'd advise against the HP Tokico kit, because the Tokico blues will most likely go soft or leak on you in the rear after a few years. The Illuminas are much better shocks:

I agree with drewm, the tokico blues are just stock replacements and not realli worth it in my opinion, kick in a little more for the far superior tokico illuminas, then probably go with springs, H&R if you want ride quality close to SE but with significantly better handling. Good choice on that RSB itll help ya out a lot. thats the setup im goin with, good luck
