Hi,

I've been reading up a lot of posts in this forum getting to know about 5th gen MAX and I30 in general. I'll be in the market for a car under $18000CDN in april. So I'm trying to get info. to get the choice down to 2 cars before I actually go out and look for one. 2000 I30t is on the top of my shopping list and I was just wondering if it has HID's as standard feature.

Other cars I'm considering are '99 Acura 3.5 RL, 2000 TL (most likely not gonna happen due to serious transmission issue), 2000 MAX SE 5spd, 2000 Legacy GT Ltd 5spd (I need AWD for canadian winter)

Also, where can I get complete spec. about 2000/2001 I30(t) online?

No it doesnt have HID's.Even maximas didnt have HID's till 2002.

 

Oh, then no HID's on any of the I30 models 2k, 2k1.
I thought so, but I read somewhere that the 2k "t" had HID and that's why I needed to verify.

in this editor's reviews, it says "New styling elements include Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights (standard on Touring models only) which expands the area of illumination while minimizing glare to oncoming traffic"

this made me confused.

Ummm...2000 and 2001 't' models did have HID headlights.

Have no clue about the Canadian models though.

So US spec 2k I30T DOES have HIDs.

Anyone from Canada?

 

www.nissannews.com has all the vehicle info....don't know if they specify between US and Canada though. Look under the archived vehicles and you can get the specs of the 2K I30 or maxima.
