Hm, I'm not sure if this has been covered in past posts, and since I'm not allowed to do a search, I was hoping you guys might be able to help me... Basically I've got a 96 SE without ABS. For a while now, this is the problem, on cold morning starts, after I start the car, for a brief second, I hear this weird moaning/groaning sound. I'm not sure if it's there while the starter is turning over, but I do know that once the engine starts taking over, I can hear what kinda of sounds like a tiny gear that is spinning really fast. If anyone can help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. I assume it might have something to do with the starter since it ONLY happens during a cold start? On nice hot summer days it never happens, or after I've been driving the car, then restart it, I don't hear it either. Thanks in advance!
