I know that there have been some rummers about the 4 speed trans in the SL going to the 5 speed that is in the SE. Anyone have any info if this is really going to happen?

 

This change has already been implemented at the plant, THIS IS A FACT.

 

For the 05 or will be avail if order the 04 SL?

Called 800-nissan1 and they said that the 04 SL is avail only with the 4speed trans. Where did you hear that the SL is getting the 5 speed?

The latest spec sheet only lists the 5A/T ratios and the 4A/T is definitely going away.

 

As of 2-6-04 the OPTION PACKAGES have changed also. My car was built on 02-06-04.

 

What are the changes?

 

Click on pricing for the Max at the site I gave you, look at THE OPTION PACKAGES and compare to the first part of the model year.

 

I am extremely pleased with my 2k4 SL however the added performance of the 5-speed would have been nice to have if I had been more patient. The owners of the new 5-speed SL are sure to enjoy it.

 

This is really going to kill re-sale value of the 4speed SL's! I think Nissan owes us a transmission upgrade!

 

hmmm the sl might be evan faster than the se, since its gonna have lighter wheels. 17 compared to 18s on the se.. the 5spd was the advantage over the sl. atleast im pretty sure it was..
