Tomei Z32 plug/pigtail?

Would this be worth $20-$30 or is it easy enough just to splice the Z32 in place of the A32 connector? Or are they the same?

splicing the one on Max ODs 3rd gen took 5 minutes...that beats $30 IMO chop off Max plug, wire in Z32 plug. I think the plugs are different, if I can remember one had an extra ridge on the plug or something, so they can't fit in the same slot I think, but no the wiring isn't the same at all

it all depends how much you can source a connector for.. z harnesses are more valuable than 3rd gens but should be the same maf connector

However, I thought that the Z-mafs have a 5-wire harness on them??? Please correct me if I am wrong.

They have a four wire harness and a six pin connector (two pins aren't used). There are two ground wires, one 5V source and the maf sensor output wire. I don't know why it uses two ground wires, but one is connected to the ground wire in the harness (maybe it goes to the ecu), and the other goes to some other convenient grounding location of your choice.

I bought the Tomei plug and used it for my Z32 maf. It's convenient if you can't find one in a junkyard.

the third gen maf plug works 100% no problems there.

The Tomei one does make life simple though.

really...then I ****ing wired his car up for nothing...WTF? he was so sure we needed the Z32 plug, he chopped the 3rd gen one off, so I went ahead and searched high and low for a Z32 plug and wired it up...arrrrrgh time for me to go smack somebody up! and you're 100% sure the wiring positions are 100% the same?? then that means I can sell this other plug lying around...if I can find it at the shop

my car runs and drives... I am using Jeff92se's 3rd gen plug...

As far as the 3rd gens, I don't know if the wires themselves are the same but the pins are in the right spots, so you could clip it into the maf, and maybe have to modify a couple of wires in the harness

but for dead sure, the plug works.... It's even in the JWT PDF I have...

And to boot it says...

ADAPTING A 90+ 300ZX MAF SENSOR 22680-30P00
INTO OTHER NISSAN CONTROL SYSTEMS
NOTE: A JWT ECU PROGRAMMED FOR THIS CHANGE MUST BE USED.
89-94 MAXIMA MAF IS THE SAME PIN FOR PIN, BUT IS NOT THE SAME CALABRATION AND
CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE 300ZX MAF.
So I would take that to mean... that the pinout is identical, but you need to actually swap the MAF.
