Warpspeed Complete 2.5" Exhaust System

Hey i am interested in getting the full exhaust set up from warpspeed. Does anyone have this set up? I am concern about how loud is that muffler is. I am hoping its not too loud. How much Gain should i expect form this Set up.

Thanks

yeah I do. You can choose if your B-pipe has a resonator or not so if you dont want to much noise buy the one with the resonator.

Mine doesnt have a resonator so it is a little loud but with the appropiate muffler it sounds nice. But its really a matter of opinion. I like how mine sounds.

I have both their y-pipe and b-pipe (Resonated). I'm running their old version of the cat-back that uses the Magnaflow muffler and it is a little too loud for my tastes. However, in the next couple weeks their new system should be arriving on my porch. Reportedly, it uses a different muffler so it is much quieter.

Do you have the Magnaflow that Bluebird thinks is too loud?

I dont know which one he has, if you want loud get the single wall tip, if you want not loud but to get noticed get the DOUBLE walled tip. How loud it is had to do alot with the rest of your exhaust. If you want the loudest you can get , get the y with a race pipe, non resinated b pipe and single wall tip. If you want the quietest they offer , get the y pipe , high flow cat, resonated b pipe, and DOUBLE walled tip. If you want to know what it sounds like , ask dallas to put the phone by the max they have. They have a max with their exhaust there. By hearing the exhaust over the phone helps a lot.

Good luck

Perhaps you would like to explain to the community what the tip has to do with the sound...

put a towel over a speaker, then put another on.. which is more quiet? The double tip dampens the sound. Same with metal. Put a towel on a sheet of metal, then put another on.. Is it quieter? If you dont believe me call dallas he will be able to explain everything to you.

Well we arent talking about towel wrapped tips here are we??
Puting a towel over a speaker proves nothing...other then it blocks out sound waves...
The double walled tip surrounds the exhuast sounds.....not cover them up like your towel over the speaker illustration points out.
Remember the exhuast has a big hole in the end and regardless of the tip either being double walled (two layers of metal with no internal sound deadning material) or single walled the double walled wont be any quieter.
The only way that would be the case would be if the double walled tip was preforated and was filled with the same sound deading material that muffler was filled with........aka resonated.
Otherwise you got nothing more that a double layered peice of metal purely for looks.

Thanks guys

I want a little growl but i dont want to sound like a civic. My friend has Apexi catback system and i am looking for something that sounds like that. I am thinking about getting the Y-pipe and B-pipe (resonated). Does anyone have this setup? However before i place my order i am going to wait until BlueBird gets this new Muffler. Please lemme know how its sounds Bluebird. And how much horse power gains should i expect from the Y-pipe and B-pipe (resonated) Thanks

is the cat hi flow, b-pipe and muffler all a bolt on install or do you have to take it to a muffler shop for installation?

I installed my warpspeed ypipe this past sunday on a stock setup. I noticed some gain but not as much as I expected. I know if I were to re-do the rest of the exhaust, I should notice more gains. My friend works at an exhaust shop and is willing to dabble into making a bolt on exhaust system.

Most of it is bolt on, but sometimes if you get universal mufflers they require a custom section and/or welding. I know with warpspeed, if you get certain full systems it won't require welding.

Those are diameters. Bigger the number, the more air gets through so the less restrictive. Unless you're getting a supercharger, 2.5" is big enough. I'm not sure whether 2.5 gives much better performance than 2.25", but I'm getting 2.5.

For N/A purposed 2.5 might be slight overkill. The whole objective when getting an aftermarket exhaust should be high exhaust velocity. The way to do this, N/A at least, is relatively narrow piping paired up with a free-flow muffler...

I figured bigger means more flow, but will both b-pipes bolt up to the cat and stock muffler the same?

what warpspeed does is weld a piece of pipe on the muffler so it matches the pipe size of your b pipe. Then you just clamp the muffler on the b pipe.

If I'm buying only the b-pipe to run to the stock muffler, and I want to do it myself, I pretty much need to find my own way to install the b-pipe?

the b pipe will bolt on the cat, and then you can do what you want for a muffler, You can weld a different muffler on or you can get a clamp , whatever works easier for you. I can take pictures of my car if you want, i work at a stealership where i can use the lifts, just let me know if you want pics or anyone else in this thred would like pix.

thanks

Us guys up north can have some problems installing exhaust from all of the salt and foul weather rusting up the bolts. We had to use torches to heat up and/or cut the bolts on mine. It was one of those 1 hour jobs that turned into a 3-hour job. I even had a professional mechanic helping me. But if everything is in good condition, you should be fine.

Ive had it since the end of june. I will send pix 2morrow sometime , and yes i noticed a huge difference with the full set up rather then just a catback. You will be VERY happy you invested in the y pipe, cat, and catback( b pipe, and mufffler)

Any other questions , ask away ..

It initally took 2 or 3 days to get to me, but he forgot my b pipe some how with the rest of it, so i had to wait another day for that to come ( he sent overnight shipping). For the install the hard parts are I think the front o2 sensors, and getting all the rusted bolts off. Other then that, its just taking the stock stuff off, and lining up the new stuff. As for once you are done, before you put on the clamps make sure you like how the muffler hangs, because i thought it was wayyyy to low, so i had to go to a muffler shop and have some more hangers welded on. I thought that Warpspeed could have had more hangers throughout the whole exhaust. It's really up to you if you want more hangers to make it more stable, and not "bouncy" ( when you see an exhaust and it moves side to side with the car's movment. )

Good luck.
