Okay, this may sound totally off the wall, but...

Has anyone tried putting a 5th gen catback onto a 4th gen? It looks like the only difference is that the b pipe-muffler flange is before the rear axle beam on the 5th gen and after the axle on the 4th gen. So if you got both the muffler and the b pipe from a 5th gen, possibly you could install them on a 4th gen.

Anyone know fer shur?

I guess I could take the exhaust off my 5th gen and try putting it on my 4th gen, but that would take some effort...

 

I don't know about all of the cat-back, but I put a 5th gen muffler on my 4th gen and it works fine. The hangers are exactly the same on both.

 

would you mind telling me why you would want to put a 5thgen catback on a 4th gen, i have installed catbacks on both and they are to much diffrent but i would take some welding cuttin and maybe bending.

 

No, I don't mind at all. Frankencar makes a very nice looking and affordable 2.5" catback for the 5th gen, but not for the 4th gen.
