particular ? for those who have had Tok blues and Gr-2's

Yes, I know another suspension quesion to muddy up the forums ...but this is a actual particular question.

Removed my worn out tokico blues last week and put in some new Gr-2's. I have only done the rear so far because I am a bit worried. My rear wheel gap increased by at least a 1/2" after the gr-2's were installed. I went from real tight 3 finger gap to a loose 4 finger gap in the rear. The rear suspension install is very straight forward and I don't think I did anything wrong. The springs may have needed to settle a bit but I really don't think so and it's been almost a week now and the rear is still high.

Has this happend to anybody else who replaced tok blues for Gr-2's??? I don't want to do the fronts until I know that this is normal or not. My Eibachs were barly low enough as it was. I would like to get some feedback before I go and reinstall everything.

Mike

I had Tok blues...now Gr-2. When I changed them it took a couple of days for things to settle. Oh and one other thing....improved control and ride.

My blues were not blown....didn't like the way they are valved.

well maybe the blues were blown so it probably sat lower. Does that make sense? Maybe things do need to settle in. I dunno, just a guess. Well you bought them already and ur blues are worn out. Mite as well put them on regardless if it sits higher or not.

They were not really blown, they would still rebound. They were just really soft. I don't want to install the fronts if the same thing is gonna happen. If my front wheel gap increases then I am going with some different springs....maybe tiens S. The eibachs were not real low in the first place, now it's gonna be like a 1" drop. It's been a week now and still have the higher ride height.

So anybody have thier wheel gap increase when going from toks to gr-2's???
