Leaky tranny

I was overjoyed to see a 6 inch puddle underneath my car today after work.

The lube was a bit dark/dirty, smelled like tanny oil, and seems that it is probably seeping out of a seal. So my question is if anyone has had this similar experience, and if i can find a DIY writeup on how to strip down my 5spd. Any input is appreciated.

Find out where it's leaking from. If it's leaking from the drive-axles, you probably have the dreaded (but all too common) differential bearing failure. If it's coming from the bellhousing, I'd lean towards input shaft bearings.

I hope (for your sake) it's just a bad seal.
