ok guys recently, i had brake probs and well i narrowed it down to my neons. the guy who installed them tapped into my ignition wire, which grounded my ab and would confuse my brakes tso no stopping. They said that my neon kit draws 17 amps....... yeah ok i dont believe that. they saw that it draws too much cirrent so they are upgrading my alternator for free to a 120 amp one. but i wanted to know if any of you have upgraded your alternators. Also i have subs and a jl e2150 amp. My plans are to have around 4 amps in my car thats alot of power to be drawn, im planning to put in a full alpine system, and later on add 2 speakers to the rear doors and have the current jl power those. then get two rf subs for my type r, and a 4 channel amp to power the speakers, and have my stock hu just send the signals that good will that work? also whats thew amp draw for amps, i know its general but can some give me an example. they saw that because im drawing too much power there isnt enough for the abs. personally im gonna ask for a full amperage readout for everything in my car so i know whats drawing what

17 amps? neons use less ower than incandescent lamps... 17 amps is a ****-ton of power. thats 244.8 watts of lighting, which in neon terms is a TON of lighting. I could be wrong tho...but all of my neons in my car before drew maybe 4 amps at the most.

 

ok good thats what i thought i was like no way in hell that it draws more current then my amp. which i found out it does anyways LOL about .5 amps more but thats ok. 17 is way to much. does anyone knopw how many amps are available in a stock i30 so i knbow how many amps i have to work with. i plan on adding a few amplifiers to my car so i need to know
