Auto tranny gasket price

My local auto parts store wants $32 for the gasket for the auto tranny and they have to order it.

This seems steep, whats the going rate?

That is the going rate. You can probably get it at a dealership for that price and it should be in stock. I couldn't believe I was paying over $30 for a piece of rubber either.

I got mine (98 auto) for $13 at www.NissanParts.com. Geniune Nissan gasket. Should be about $17 at dealer.
