LEDs in tail lights of 3rd gen

Anyone have LEDs in their tail lights. I'm gonna be working with these soon and want to see any pics for an idea. It should be great because the light is so big and would look neat like Arrafio's 4th gen Maxima with LEDs.

Man, those are pretty creative dude. I think those would look really good in red, but it's your car and you like it, so that's the only important part. I've also seen someone who smashed a neon rod in his, but it looked really tacky?

Probably not the safest thing, especially since they're blue. People behind you will be staring at them in a hypnotic state being like "that's sooo cool" meanwhile they forget that you have your brakes on and smash into the back of you.

Then you always have your tough guy anti-rice crew who will be pointing and laughing.

But, whatever floats your boat.

I am doing LEDs this summer so I can get some garage space. I have an idea of how I am going to design them. I think a design like Arrafio would be cool or the ones from a G35 coupe with the LEds in a line and then a small circle.

I only know of someone called Cefiro or something who has a black 4th gen with custom LEDs he made. Check out this link. It is the BEST, most tastefully done Maxima I have EVER seen....and I have looked at over a 100 4th gens on cardomain. This car is the quintessential wet dream of every Max lover.

Yeah...funny you should mention that. I thought of the same thing when I first saw that site. But without a doubt, it is THE best Maxima ever. People keep making huge offers to that dude to sell the car but he does not want to.

I agree. Circles would definately be hot. Especially if you already have the e36 conversion. I would definately buy a pair for my car if they were done right....hint...hint!

Biggest problem with LED's are their very directional field of view - usually around 15 degrees at the most. Add the 3rd gen design which incorporates an internal refracting lens & you're looking at more than a little modification if you want to keep the tail lights legal. But hey, that's the challenge of modifying stuff!

LED's in the tail lights would def look cool done right - good luck & when you're done, write it up & post pix...

...so we can all do the same mod

yeah, but even he said the view angle is **** so he's getting new ones, but crappy tv's are better than no tv's for now I guess.

btw, you can view the led's fine from far away, you can't make out that they are leds in a pattern or anything but the light up as bright as stock lights.

btw Joe as camera man you came in a close second to earthquake lol, theres some good shots but not enough to post, Ill probably use them in another video or something.
