on the rear? Two shops I went to for estimates will either not tint it at all or go over it with no guarantee about uniform sticking of the film. Could have sworn I saw there was a 'filler' type product out there. Anyone have this done and had decent results? If so, was this done at a chian of some kind or invidually owned shops?
Thanks!

mine was tinted one row up on the dots.... can't tell unless you put your face up on my window...... he said there's no telling how long it will stay if u actually try to stick the tint on the dots....
I've seen some people use glue on the "dot matrix" part. That guarantees that the film sticks to that area but I can imagine that it would be a real pain in the @ss to remove the film to retint. That is how my car is done. It looks really good but I'd hate to be the guy removing my tint if need be.
the tint on my rear window stops right at the first row of the matrix. there is a small gap but it's not very noticeable. also got the same story about it not adhering to the dot matrix so they tint below it to reduce claims against the "lifetime warranty".
Mine is tinted all the way up. If you look up close, you can kind of see some irregularities but it is really not that noticeable. The tint guy really worked with it though. He spent some extra time with the squeegee to make it look the best it could.
On mine they got right up to the edge of the dot matrix and stopped the tint. It's so close, you can't even see it from up close unless you're almost touching it. **** for $290 they better do a good job!
