How many miles when Boost Began ??

I have 130K and most likely going to boost in the next few weeks or so...

to avoid another one of these posts which happen every few weeks...skip the guess work and just get a compression test done on your motor(any shop can do it) you obviously seem worried whether it will hold the boost at such at 130k so best best is to have the test done. every motor is different so no matter what ANYONE elses mialage on here was when they started doesn't hardly matter. good luck

How much would one of these tests run usually? and what does it involve? any idea if you can do those tests at home?

it can be done at home if you have a compression tester(they can be had on Ebay for as low as $10)...all it entails is removing each plug, screwing in the fitting for the tester and testing each cylinders compression...if you can change your own plugs, you can EASILY do this...at a shop I would say more than a 20-30 minute job maybe...so figure in that as labor.
