Hood Scoop

Man, I seem to be pretty chatty this morning. Happens when you get a new mod. Anyway, I'm thinking a hood scoop would get some much needed fresh air into the compartment. What are your thoughts on this? Any suggestions on where to purchase them? Thanx guys.

well since you dont have a muscle car that needs scoops for ram air, getting scoops would be and wouldnt do much performance wise.

then dont get it. it would be for looks alone.
air would go in the scoops but wouldnt be forced into the engine like ram air. you get enough air in through the grill.

like this trans-am that runs 10.7s!!!!

Even the LS1 Firebird/Camaros don't get much air from the hood scoops. A majority of the air come from the air dam below the bumper. Regardless, they are still functional and feed air directly into the airbox as seen in the pic above.

Plus, only certain cars look good with hood scoops:

P.S. The 2nd and 3rd pic is my car! You can see the air dam hanging down in the 3rd pic where most of the air is captured and forced up.

Not unless you get the Weapon R Intake with Ram Air extension.
