Went to Track yesterday almost broke 14s..

Here are my times:

R/T............685
60' ............2.379
330............6.447
1/8............9.765
MPH...........74.58
1000..........12.628
1/4............15.067
MPH...........92.39

I had my 15 inch Stock Steelies on! I am going with lighter rims this time.
I had a half of Tank of Gas 93 with Octane Booster.

I have the following Mods:

VB Mod by NRH
Technosquare ECU
Budget B
Budget Y
Stillen Intake
Underdrive Pulley

When I lined up at the track, the light turned green and I just floored it.

I took out the following things:

Passenger seat
Rear seats
Spare
Subs
Floor mats inside and outside.

I might go to the track this weekend for another run, I am going to break 14s I hope.

Your 60' was horrendous, and you still almost got in the 14's

With good rubber and a good launch, you can easily shave .10 or .15 off that 60', which would result in a 14.7 or 14.8 et. You will get 14's this year, good luck.

That's weird you got a tad under 18mph from your 1/8th mile trap to your 1/4 mile trap. I usually get 20-21 mph in that same span, and with your same 60', I usually run identical to your #'s. Huh...

I agree...don't just floor it after the light turns green and you will most likely get a better 60' and end up in the 14s.

Hey Ferbs---Looks like you and I are pretty damn close in the 1/4 right now.

I can't wait to get out to the track again to work on my times more.

Good times, looks like your car is EVERY BIT as strong as mine. I won't be running 14.70's this Spring and Fall if I have anything to say about it. Getting my ypipe and intake installed. Shooting for mid 14's. Oh, and I cant wait to get out to the track as well, much to the aggravation of the gf.

If I shouldn't just floor it, how should I launch it?? The reason I just floored if from IDLE was because of the Vb I have.

stall up to about 1500-2000 not too sure the low end torque of the 4th gens and ease into the gas to keep wheel spin to a minimum. Just practice thats all it takes.
