Could someone with Progress springs please assist?

I bought my Progress springs used so I don't have the instructions from Progress. I've tried contacting Progress directly but they've been less then clear. All they said is: "You need to cut the bumpstops in half and replace the larger piece."

What are Progress' specific instructions on trimming the bumpstops? Could someone post or email me a pic of their instructions? Thanks!

they mean it exactly as it sounds: get a knife, cut those suckers in half, and put back just one of the halves when you reassemble the whole thing. you can keep the other halves around if you need to, just in case. don't worry, i bought mine new and their instructions didn't include any pics either. good luck.

Thanks raidwolf. So the question is this, what is considered the halfway point on the bumpstop? I assume cutting out half means:
- Front: Cut out section 2 (in the pic below) and reinstall section 1
- Back: Cut out section 3 and reinstall section 1&2.
Correct?

Here are some pics for clarification:

Sorry to complicate, just want to make sure!

Not quite. Maxspeeds drop 1.4F 1.3R. Progress drop 1.7F 1.5R. My actual drop is close to 2" in front. Nonetheless, Progress recommends trimming so I'd prefer to follow their advice.

whoa, no no! those are your dust boots, not your bump stops! you're looking for a small thick rubber ring with a metal cylinder in it. they're inside the dust boots, if i'm not mistaken (i dropped my car a while ago, i don't quite remember everything). sorry, but i don't have any pics of what i'm referring. i hope this helps. good luck, and if there's anything else, let me know, i'll get my car inside the garage and jog my memory.

What?! Dude, are you absolutely sure? Here's a couple previous threads where others agreed:
