Ive never felt my car so powerful! OMG!!!

Decided to take out the Max for a quick spin today after being in storage since November.

OMG! Ive forgotten how powerful the 5-speed Maxima is! Im sure most of this is because Ive been driving a 91 Geo Metro for the last 5 months.

If you ever fel your car is slow, drive a 1L 55hp Metro for a few months. Youll really appreciate the Maxima.

I just needed to share my appreciation for my Maxima.

I'll be sharing my appreciation in a couple of weeks. It's been four and a half months since i've driven mine. I can't wait. I've got a new intake and y-pipe waiting to get installed as soon as i get home. Literally the next day. Glad to hear I wasn't alone in not being able to drive the maxima.

I haven't been driving mine too much lately. But I just love having the extra power on tap for passing and climbing hills. I also forgot just how loud my intake is, lol.

Whats scarey is driving my Mustang hit the secondaries and the tires melt, lol.

With the gas prices rising, I'm sure a lot of people will want to drive that Geo Metro. You can have power or economy. You just can't have them both at the same time.

Personally if I was looking for an ecobox I would go diesel instead of gas.

I hear you there. I think I used as much gas taking out the maxima for a few miniutes as I do in the Metro in a week. The tank fills up (from empty) for $10.50, and thats with these gas prices!

With diesel prices rising like they do, it's not as big a factor as before. Diesel used to be way cheaper than regular unleaded.

sounds about the same as going from a bone stock 92 accord to a 300+ whp turbo'd max.. talk about gas difference.

By the end of summer, I feel my Max is slow.
I think you just get used to the Max over time, like any car. Well, almost any car, i was reading the one review for the Ferrari Endo that was done a few years later, the guy said" Even after driving the car for a couple years, I never got used to how hard it pulled>"

My next car will be real fast. Not sure what tho. I might just keep the max as a daily driver and get a 1st gen dsm awd. I'll dump some money into some mods and be in the 12s trapping around 110+mph. It'll be my track/weekend car of course.

I'm sure especially how you can really appreciate and forget how powerful the max is. I had a stupid Hyundai Accent while my car was in the bodyshop for some damage. When I got my Max, i was so glad to have it back cuz it's built better than the Crappy Accent and the power I needed it most. Since you got me thinking about gas prices, I think i should get a eco car for commute to work.

I know what you guys mean. My car was feeling slow before I left for Europe a week ago. But a week without driving will sure make you appreciate it's speed and power all over again.

My solo album and my poetry book are both due out in the Fall though.

It's nice to see another die-hard Pumpkins fan. I know you are die-hard because you know how to spell D'Arcy. Rock on!
