Floor Mats!!!

You guys like my new floor mats, my neighbor made them for me out of that diamond cut graphite material that you normally see in trucks. Sorry about the crappy photo, I took it with my phone cam.

Currently I have these in my 2k3 and later I will put them in my 2k as well, he said that he'd be interested in making them for all makes and models of Maximas on a GD for those who are intested but he wants you to name a fair price and also you'd have to send out a cut-out of any other Gen Max other than the 5th gen. He could use my mats from the 2k3 and the 2k as the guide.

Any takers please PM me with a fair asking price:

Aren't they slippery when they get wet?

Yes, they are slippery when wet but it's not like we'll be standing on them.

To Igor, I will get my neighbor to use his Digicam to take a better pic tomorrow and I will post them here.

I apologize for the crappy photo at the time I was just excited to post them on the board here.

I like them, I'd pay about $75 for a set of four. If the price ends up being in or around this, please let me know.

Well, obviously they aren't meant for everyone but I think they look good in person and so does everyone else here that I've showed them to.

They kinda go along with the Titanium trim on the ODO and Tach, so maybe they aren't for everyone's car but I thought that I'd try and at least offer something to those who may be interested.

I just woke up so I'll get with my neighbor later and get some better pics.

How about the price? I mentioned around $75, let me know...

Also, how do they secure to the floor? And the rear mats, is there any way he can make them a little bigger? Most of the commonly sold diamond plate floor mats have just small little rectangles for the rears, if they could be made larger to encompass a larger area of the rear floor, that would be a great selling point!

My S.O. would choke me if I put these in the Max. Not much middle ground on these, you either like or you don't...

I think they look good and they kinda match on lighter colored interiors, and somewhat tacky but still tolerable on darker colored interiors.....but definitely no middle ground, I agree!

Ok fellaz here you go my neighbor is a real friendly fella and he really had no intention on doing this project just to make money, so he has no idea of what to charge you guys for something like this.

That is the reason he left it up to you to come up with a fair price and he can do the back mats at the stock mat size.

I understand that these aren't for everyone and it is either a love it or leave it type of deal, I can appreciate all of the honesty I've gotten on this even the criticism.

Remember you come up with a fair price but remember he will get the material, do the labor (it takes about 2 1/2-3 hours to do the labor and the shipping) so be fair and honest.

As far as seeing them in person, I can't provide a better pic than the last one posted here, I used a 6.0 megapixel Sony cam for that photo and short of driving to you in person and showing you I don't know what else to tell you or show you.

I have one more pic at another angle but I feel it is redundant to keep posting pics of the same thing, if you want me to I will post it though.

Please PM me for those who are interested we will be happy to make them for you, including the rear mats at whatever/stock size you want, just provide a drawing/cut-out and we'll do the work.

PM me with details if you are interested, please include your car make/model/gen, how many you want, you can get front, back or any combo.

I will provide our contact info to those who are interested.
Thank you for your interest.

The driver's side front secures to the floor by the little guide thingy that comes stock inside for your stock mats, the others really don't need to have anything to secure them because of the weight.

They aren't heavy but once you bend them in place they are so tight that they are secure unless you work them out of position.

We will make them to the specifications you like, like I said just mail in a cut-out of the size to us and we'll do the work.

I hope that this answers your questions.
Thanks for your interest.

It's funny that you said that because while we were making them I mentioned adding a Maxima plate to them and told my neighbor that he could sell them better that way.

Trust me, if you see these in person, you'll see the quality and get a feel of how they make you feel once you're inside of the car, plus if you notice the shadow from the bling-bling on the car it gives it a cool kinda look.

And those weren't even shined up.

Doesn't a company already make diamond plate floor mats for our cars? I'm sure I've seen a few different cars with them on here.

First of all ricers didn't start doing this and in fact I haven't saw any ricers with this in their cars. Second there is no reflection from the sunlight and third why bother even commenting if you don't have something good to say.

There's always a few haters, not creaters who got something negative to say and start making comments like these out the side of their necks.

The point is, it is an individual preference, one it keeps you from having to worry about dirtying up your interior carpet, plus you never have to vaccuum or clean your carpet again and the other is the look, if it's not for you then that is fine, go elsewhere with your Haterism.

There's always a few Haters on every thread here, what have you done or created, what have you tried to offer someone here who may be interested in doing something to individualize themselves from someone else.

Shhsheeze, you think people would be a little less hateful and start supporting one another here.

There's always a critic willing to bash, if you're not interested then move on.

dont get your panties in a bunch, i only commmented because i have seen many show cars with these diamond plate mats, that's why i said it was a ricer mod, and i still think it is

as far as being creative, please man go to Lowe's get a sheet of diamond plate cut it the same size as the factory floor mat and bend it to fit, nothing hard about this

if you think this will make your maxima unique go ahead and pad yourself on the back
