Those are Narva Rally Gold's.. I don't have any good night shots, but they contrast my 6000k HIDs very well.

I have the crystal ion (PIAA) ones, and they do NOT look yellow when you look at the lens, but they DO look yellow on the road. I will try to take pics to demonstrate, but it is a pale yellow when you look at the lights themselves and a deep yellow on the road.

Night pics of Crystal Ion on page 1 of my homepage. Like someone said earlier, the contrast is awesome, and they're way more functional than superwhite fogs. Kloogy has day pics of them too...

APC Gold Ion, not Lexus yellow but still nice...

The lighting is not just yellow. I can't explain but there are other colors like orange and white, maybe some "gold." I'd hve to show you a pic of the light on my garage door.

I recently installed PIAA Ion yellows since one of my HID fogs went out. I wasn't too pleased with the amount of yellow in the them from head on, but I noticed that from any other angle, there is a lot of yellow in them. From a slight distance there is also a lot of yellow. If I can't get this HID bulb replaced, I may look into retrofitting IS300 yellow capsules into my fogs. I'll post pics if I do....

Why not the QX4?? Those are the same exact yellow color from the IS300, plus it will probably work better since it'll be more of a similar design. Thats MY next project actually. I'll tell you what, you do the IS300 retrofit, I'll do my QX4, and we'll see how they compare,

for the Lexus look, you need inserts like they have on motorcycles.. or even the Lexus's use..

it's not the bulb but it's the yellow "condom" or socket around them. You can try getting that.

Hence the retrofit... On my old TL, I had yellow fogs stock just like lexus. It consisted of a capsule around the bulb and a large insert inside the housing. The bulbs inside were plain clear. So that is why I plan to integrate those things into my foglight housings.

The wheels are 17"s... Here are some night shots I just took:

The glare isn't as bad as it looks in the pictures, I kneeled down so the lights were actually higher than my camera.

Yep, that means I have the 10000k kit for sure now. Ordered the 6000k kit month or two back, just now figuring out my HIDs (Same brand as yours) are the 10000k. But I still think mine look great, more purple.

Man i was running those APCs, i hated them. Besides one blowing out less than a month after i put them in (no, i didnt touch the bulb) they didnt shine on the road worth a ****. I previously had the APC Neon ones, that were kinda blue/red etc etc and it shined better. My buddy is also running the APC Gold Ions

I think i will just shell out the 18 bucks each and get the Narva yellow fogs. I want something to contrast vastly with my also sh!tty silverstars.

ch13f HONESTLY, can you say if you turn off your headlights and run with just the fogs it lights up the road?

I wonder if they sell upgraded harness's for fogs? I would just get the 110watt ones...

Ch13f,

Ok after doing some reading i think i have gotten all my questions ready, this should be it.

1. How well do the Narvas light the road
2. Are they H3s, if so.....
3. Have you had a problem with the higher wattage burning up your harness
and what not.

I think that should be all, thanks again.

They put out quite a bit of light, but I dont have much to compare them with. When I installed my fog lights, I put the Narva's in before the lenses were even mounted on the car. It has more to do with the housing anyway, I think mine may be pointed up a bit more than they should be, so the light projects quite far.

Yes, they are h3's... otherwise they wouldn't fit

I've only had them on my car for a couple of months, so I can't say whether or not they will melt any wires, but I honestly don't think they will. The h3 harness is nothing like our 9004 harness, it is made entirely of metal, and thus should be much more tolerant to heat.

If you wanted to see the light output of the NARVA golds: Check this out.
NARVA OFF

NARVA ON

These ******* are bright...can't wait to get an HID kit. If you want something with a good light output get these. I've had them for about 3 months and haven't had any of the two blow.

Yea, im in the process of retrofitting yellow fogs from a 1st gen TL. Lexus wasnt the first to have yellow fogs you know...

Ill post a thread when im all finished. Just planning it out and buying a few things then ill be finished. Dont buy yellow bulbs that are out there, they suck, I had some MTECs and they lasted me less than a month. The yellow isnt from the bulb, its the light filters inside the fog housings.

Well the "harnesses" on the maximas are really just wires. So they have a harder time burning out. When i installed my narvas i just put some dielectric compound on them to make sure they wouldn't burn.

I just think that having the actual foglight assembly yellow looks...ugly. Cheapens the look of the car i think...
