If it was done right it could look good, and it's the only way to get the fogs to look really yellow (as opposed to just kind of yellow despite their beams being very yellow).

Nismos14, do you have a write-up of your yellow fog lenses, or can you explain how you did that? I think it would look really hot on a black Maxima.

I wonder if anyone makes a special paint like VHT Nite Shades but in yellow.

it was real easy.. i got this translucent paint, it says DIA-WYTE LTD at the bottom of the can, and it says "YELLOW-LIGHT" in the middle of it the cap is yellow

anyways

took the lights off the car, cleaned them, taped up around the lenses where i didnt want it to get painted, and then put on about 6 -7 coats of the pain, it was easy, and the paint comes in a spray can

this is exactly what it was

If you notice the fogs on a lexus, acura, infiniti that have yellow light arent yellow. The filter inside looks clear but still converts it to yellow, not to mention theres a way to cover the bulb with a yellow sleeve that goes over it. Painting the fog housing yellow makes it look very cheap and wont give as good of light.

many of those lights u speak of do have yellow and it is visible in some cases. as far as the housing painted yellow looking cheap, i dont see it, but its all a matter of opinion.

Also gonna have to agree with BlueC, like i stated before, actually painting the lense yellow looks....cheap. The lexus for instance does not look yellow, yet the shield makes it shine yellow. Thats what you should be concentrating on making...

Next to the Trojans®. Make sure you get the non-lubricated kind. And if the cashier gives you a look, just ignore it.
