Vortech MaxFlow Power Cooler

I came across an article on a Mustang site about adding a Vortech AWAC to a 4.6 V8 with a Vortech S trim supercharger running 8-10 lbs of boost. It looks like they had decent gains from the unit and it did a pretty good job of lowering intake temps. I wonder if Vortech would make a Maxima-specific application of this, or if you could use one from a different car?

A couple of years ago, I saw someone on the east coast (Merian was his name I think?) that had one under his 4th gen. Hoefpully delio or Sprint will have more info. I just got my supercharger and it's amazing how much heat is added in the engine bay and the 100+ degree Texas summers haven't hit yet..

Someone here was working on making one for, I believe a 4th gen.

Anyone know what happened with that project?

It's still on "que" ... I just replaced my pulley bearings and installed my new brackets and 13" rotors... hopefully in a couple of months... I'm using a Spearco/Turbonetics 231 AWIC.

I am getting ready to install a spearco front mount it measures 28.5x8x3 the core size 22.5 2.25 inlet outlet.

I don't think I am. I am currently using the 3.33 pulley and have seen 10psi. I figure for reliability I 'll stay where I'm at. I am still using the stock fmu and injectors etc... I may bump to 11 psi, but Iam not swapping injectors, and changing to apexi or emanage, or a the walbro in tank pump. It is just to much of pain i the *** for the small amount of gains. I am currrently using a holley 255lph intank pump and have bypassed the stupid stillen pump setup. I have seen a max fuel psi of 70 ish and have had no problems. My buddy owns epp in fort wayne says that all the injector upgrades that people on here are doing for what they have done is a waste, and that going over 90psi fuel is rather ridiculus, due to injector lock up---i know you guys all say like 112psi is tops. anyways, i am sure the setup i am running is going to blow the socks off of most everbody i come across,a nd it won't break. I give props to the guys that are trying new things and pushing the envelope of our cars and enjoy seeing their reasons, and their turn outs. however I am not even going to try and be the fastest, I just wanna surprise the people that come up next to my grocery getter.

I have been doing some looking on vortechs web page, and Iam thinking about soing some 15-20 psi boosting, with one of their other chargers, of course I am also planning on getting a spare motor and building it up first. probably won't happen but would be fun.

That chart is misleading. It doesn't average the before and after runs. It compares each "after" run with the lowest power "before" run to compute the difference. If you calculate the averages, you get 260.2 hp for the "before" runs, and 286.8 hp for the "after" runs, a difference of only 26.6 hp, lower than the 28.5-32.1 hp range it claims. The way they do it is not a statistically valid comparison method.
