I have gotten mixed feelings about my taillights.. people either love them or make fun of them..








should I keep them.. get stock 00/01 SE tails or 2k2 tails?

 

Get the stock 00/01 SE tails.

I like'em. Kinda unique. They look hot with the stock red sidemarkers. If you plan on getting clear sidemarkers, then swith to the stock SE tails. Peace_

looks like you started to paint them to look like SE tails but ran out of paint.

 

I actually like them. I personally woudn't do them to my car, but with the rear lip and black max it looks good.

To those asking what these tails originally were.. they are 2k\2k1 GXE\GLE tails with the white turn signal part painted red and the reverse light painted red.. red/out look... and then there is black vinyl surrounding the tails a little bit around the edges..

I didn't actually do this, i bought the car this way

i can't turn these into stock tails anymore, the bottom turn signal part is red, so is the reverse..
anyone want to trade? or sell me some stock 2k/2k1 SE tails?

I say keep them! They look good IMO....and separates you from the rest....

 

I think if you keep them, you should tint them. That would look real good.

 

well its different not too sure i like them but you never know they may grow on me... now the real question is do you like them? if so then who cares what people think but if you don't i would just hold off a bit and see if they grow on yah

 

They look cool to me. I can't imagine them looking that good on any car that's not black.

I think the stock SE tails look the best. But those aren't bad by any means, they could just use a real white reverse light.

I think they look tight on your car, and 100% unique. Up close, they don't look quite as good, but that's with any taillights that are painted on the outside.

 

i would not go out of my way to make those but i do think they look good keep them maybe it will catch on

 

Honestly, i think that they alook alot better in person. I think it matches perfect. Not only that but its unique. Especially with the ae headlights, looks hot... keep them.

I like them. The worst part about the looks of the 5th gen is the horrible tails. Something has to be done to make them look better. I'm not saying they look great but change is good no matter what its form.

yeah, i agree that up close they aren't that great looking.. they are painted from the inside though.. but the paint is a slightly different shade at certain angles.. but from a distance the painted part matches pretty good..

I am thinking of maybe getting the stock tails and smoking the top red part.. and leaving the clear.. then getting the clear sidemarker in the rear.. my headlights are blacked out on the inside too, might aswell just go with the whole blackout theme..

I personally wouldn't have done that.

 

I think it looks pretty cool but I like the photoshop by Maxpat82 even better!

 

I say go with 2k/2k1 SE tails, like everyone else.
