Need help ASAP guys, randomly stalling.

My car just stalled 3 times, just randomly. I wasdriving the car, when all fo the sudden I feel small jerking movements, barely noticeable but enough to get me worried. I keep going thinking it'll go away. Then I get an even bigger jerk and the car starts to stall. I can give it more gas but it doesn't stay on for long. It also makes a weird clunking noise once it stalls. The car was cold.

I've heard this might be the coolant temp sensor? Could this be it? Please I need to get this fixed ASAP. Thanks.

Hmmm, from the sounds of it, it could be a Cylinder Head Temp sensor, Crank position sensor, coil(s) going bad, or something ignition related. When this happens, is it when the car is primarily cold, or does it happen no matter the temperature? Getting a CEL lately?

It happened 2 months ago when it was like -40C outside. And now today. It was cold today as well. Cold enough to have my rear window frozen up. I get no CEL at all.

after the car stalls will it start right back up or does it crank for a while before it will start again?

it looks like your fuel might be cutting off at one point and that's why it starts back up again . . . definitely check it out...

Does the fuel pump have a tendancy to malfunction when it's cold outside?

What would cause the fuel to be delivered and then suddenly stop? How can I diagnose?

well, i don't know about how it is on the max but... my mother's 94 intrepid had the problem, and instead of going to a mechanic, i found the same car at a junkyard and found about 4 sensors... i replaced them all and the problem stopped... so i wonder if there's some sensor specifically for the fuel....
someone that has more knowlegde on this, please advise us newbies.....

it's probably something small that's causing it but it might be hard to find....

Also going about the fuel problem. I would also check for moisture in the fuel. With it the weather being as cold as you say, it could also very be that the condensation that built up in the fuel tank etc could be freezing in the fuel line. Might try bottle of that stuff the dries the water up in the fuel. A new fuel filter is a pretty good idea as well.

Well it looks liek I found the problem. When I start the car, I hear a weird humming/buzzing/whatever sound coming from the rear, more specifically, the fuel pump location. When I put my ear directly on the rear seat, I can hear it pretty well. At some point, the sound stops, and then the car dies. Looks like I'm going to replace the fuel pump. Any links?
