why are you going back to stock? you mean just wheels, or in general?

Doesn't having a larger wheel size result in a harsher ride? IMO, the Maxima wasn't meant for that albeit it's a sporty sedan. A sedan ride should be smooth whereas it's expected for a coupe to be rougher; sacrifice comfort for performance.

Me? I've never deviated from the stock wheels. I'm buying new rims soon and considered going 17" but decided against it for a number of reasons with reason #1 being I don't want my sedan to feel like a coupe.

I was just sick of my heavy 17's slowing me down and the harsh ride the 45 series side wall was giving me. Performance was the main reason. I would love to have some really light weight 17's but I don't have a grand to drop on wheels and this was the next best option.
