Need help with grounding.

Sometime soon i would like to add additional grounds in my engine. I kno that there is a kit (hyper grounds) but i was hoping for any other alternatives, like buyin wire at a home depot or something. Also where should i connect the grounds, i.e- (headlight ground, throttle body, etc...)? What gauge wire? Thanks for any help.

I think your best bet would be spend the extra money and buy the grouding kit from the web sites. they already come with the exact measurments and every thing.
btw I'm not sure where, but I remember seen some one showing how they installed the ground kit. I will try to find it and post latter.

not a bad idea, but you have to remember that for the price they are quoting, you could not come close to the cost since they get discounts on the wire and parts since they buy in bulk.

I got the cheap kit off of ebay. i think it was about $30. I grounded to the two strut towers, the engine ground, and the headlight grounds. I think i read somewhere that you usually shouldn't ground to the tb. I think it was in import tuner, they actually lost a little torque when they had it wired that way. as rediculous as it sounds, everyone who dyno's their car says these kits actually give you torque. i haven't dyno'd, so i can't say if i gained torque, but it can't hurt...unless you ground to the wrong place.

I made my own for about $20. You don't need to go overboard with multiple grounding points, it just isn't needed unless you have a serious problem with some other component in the car. You need to fix that first.
My audio/video system draws a ton of juice and I have never had any noise or problems. (knock on wood)

What gauge wire did you use?
