8.798 @82 mph with 35 shot?!?!? (1/8mi)

Went to the track for the first time today with my new setup:

NX wet kit jetted for 35hp
injen intake
cat-back exhaust
UDP
WSPD Y-pipe

Illuminas(set on 3/5)
tein htechs
ES full front bushings
RSB
FSTB

Steelies w/ 205/50-15 Gforce drag radials @18-20psi

Best run:

R/T: .504
60' : 2.115
ET: 8.798
Trap: 81.98

Just wanted to get some feedback ,from some n2o guys who run at the track, on my time considering my setup.
I feel pretty good about it really . Just wanted to see how my time matches up.

I'll post my slip once I upload it and put it where it's supposed to go in the timeslip forum. Thanks to Plurco, Jime, Nismo, sonic, aaron92se, and others for their shared wisdom and experience.

Oh yeah didn't spray out of the hole, just about 1/2 way through first.

I'll have the video up tonight or tomorrow.

Good job. I need to get nitrous. I've been talking about it for a long time, but I've been doing other NA mods first. But nitrous is the way to go for a track ***** like me.

Did you do a burnout before staged, if not you could have gotten a better time because your tires would hook up better.

That's a pretty good time. I haven't run mine with slicks, and I'm right behind you with a 50 shot dry. I couldn't get off the line any better than 2.228, and my 1/8th time was 9.01@78.94MPH I also wasn't able to hit the juice until I was around 30mph. I would probably be right with you on time with slicks. Good job driving that stick. I'm also auto, so that slows me down a bit from the start with the different launch ability. You're probably on the way to a 13.6 1/4.

2.11 is very decent IMO, and yes I did warm the tires up. Next weekend I'll be in the 2.0x area for sure

2.11 is a good 60'. Did you use nitrous in the first 60 feet? If you warm those tires up for only 3 seconds, then they will be plenty warm enough for you to pull a high 2.0 60' on a good night NA.

When I get nitrous, I might try my luck to see how traction is with a 50 shot on these Gforce drag radials. I doubt they will hold while spraying on the launch. But it's worth a try, especially when testing nitrous for the first time. You don't want to go all out with slicks and break something your first time out. Tires should always be your weakest link... not your axles or tranny.

Excellent time, especially for DR's I can't run a time like that on them.

With slicks anybody can do it, just punch and go.

No spray until I was out of the hole. I can't really say when I started spraying, it all goes so quick now with the n2o. I guess I'm going off my gut as far as when I start spraying in first. I was really happy that the DRs maintained traction spraying in first though. I launched at around 3200 rpms when I got the 2.11

Jime: thanks
