Kustom Backseat Cover
now this I am especially proud of. When I built the box I measured the trunk hole that leads into the backseat and cut the box on that precise point thus allowing me to put plexi right there. So I painted the inside of the speakerbox black and threw some neons in there. Now look at it

So what do you guys think? For more detailed pics/commentary consult my website. I have detailed pics of the install (trunk floor, plexy, speaker box, etc..)

I actually precut some holes in below the plexi.. the amp is sitting on the wholes. It to breathe. If it overheates.. then I can easily throw a few fans in there no biggie. But I havent seen any signs of overheating from the amps. Everything looks good so far.

ahh, they work now, looks great man. Did you have to remove the spare to get the amps in the wheel well? I'm thinking of doing a similar setup, amps on the bottom and stealthing the subs.

great job on the setup. i was wondering how much higher is your floor now. Like how much is it from the top of the plastic piece where the trunk closes to the floor? also what kind of wood did you use?

My trunk floor was raised about 2 inches i believe. Im not sure on the exact measurements, i forgot. I used ply wood. This has been an ongoing project, my next will prbly be a supercharger.

Car is handling it great. I still have the stock alternator. The plexi is half an inch thick and can be purchased at a home depot or loews. I paid $25 for the plexi i think.

It does look extremely clean. If you go to competitions though, they are gonna ding you for not being able to access your spare tire.

It rattles alittle. It managed to rip my tint, and now i have to get it done. The bass makes it move alot and make noise. Im going to dynamat my back window area where the coaxials are pretty soon. I would suggest going with dynamat or some kind of sound deadener, they work wonders!
