to clear coat or not to clear coat

I painted my tails two days ago but read on the org that somoene had a problem with the clear coat making the tails all cloudy. Anyone have experience with this occuring? Should I just not clear-coat it and leave it the way it is? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

I wish they would come out with some new episodes instead of re-runs. I mean, this season has been especially bad for that kind of thing on Smallville.

Hmm it will probally be exspensive to do it right, unless you have a good spray gun or know someone who does. Also good clear coat isnt cheap. Quality coat and a quality gun should keep it from clouding.

k...first of all if u used the candy apple testors paint on ur tails u sholdnt have any problem. I did mine two months ago and they match perfectly. Clearcoat is no use. Just lightly wet sand the lights after u paint them and polish them up wiht some car polish. They look great....

i wax(ed) mine and plan on clearcoating them soon after washing them all off, then later waxing over that again.

I used Krylon UV protectant Clear Coat on my red tails, Prevents fading and chipping. No yellow so far and my car sits in the sun all day!

i like my ambers as for clearcoat, ive hear mixed reviews on it. most pepole just use the testors red candy apple or whatever its called and they dont clear it. and it looks awesome. yep i think you need some clearcoat on yours cuz it looks dead. unless you redid it...

i redid it with Testors Candy Apple Red and i don't want it to chip or fade. I got a can of Painter's Touch Clear Coat spray. Anyone know of this brand? With the Krylon, how long did you have it on for? And should I just wax them instead of clear coating them? Would this be a better option?
