Can you convert 95-96 to 97-99 tails?

Can you convert 95-96 to 97-99 tails?
Can you just put a 97-99 tunk on a 95-96? will the outer lights fit the same?

outers are the same. Inners are angled more on 97-99. If you replace the trunk then you can get your precious red/clear combo

I saw a completely stock 95-96 the other day with a 97-99 trunk and the lines match fine although the mix of the different year taillights looked horrible and cross-eyed.
