Soon I will need to have my tranny fixed. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd above 4000rpm, it makes a noise which maybe is grinding?? so I have to get the syncro fixed. When I get the tranny dropped it would be a good idea to replace my clutch that has 85k on it. Im planning to replace it with an Exedy Stage 1 and the flywheel with a Fidanza. In a few threads, some people said the Exedy would give clutch chatter. Can someone explain to me what that exactly is? Since the tranny is going open, I was thinking about getting LSD added. I searched about the Phantom Grip LSD and didnt find anything bad about them. There is no way I can afford the Quaife LSD so for $300 the Phantom Grip sounds good. Anyone have the Phantom Grip? Is it worth it? Any other info/ideas would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

 

Get the phantom grip LSD. It's a very good product that no ne here seems tto approve, don't know why.

Anyone else know anything about the Phantom Grip LSD? Also, what is clutch chatter? I want to know what to know if its going to really bother me if I go with the Exedy stage 1 clutch.

 

i have the exedy stage 1 clutch in my maxima. i don't get any clutch chatter and it grabs real hard and low.
