Well this is a crappy way to start my Spring Break. I was driving in Staten Island, when all of a sudden the dam pig decides to tailgate. After about a 1/4 mile he puts on his flashers. I pull over COMPLETELY confused! He comes up saying your windows look to dark, blah blah blah. THen takes out his tester and shows that Its 25% no visability! I had them done at 35% and he tells me the NY law is 70% visability. He gives me a ticket for driver side window at $60.

I don't understand, I mean my window tint place told me I'm getting it done at the legal limit. I am ****ed off, and need help and ideas of possibly fighting this off.

damn that sucks, I thought that NYC didn't care about tints. Practically every car has em. damn cops

 

yeah the law is 70 or 75 in the front and what ever u want in the back......

 

You got busted man. If the law states 70 and you got 35 or 25 you still are illegal. Best bet is either remove the tint or chalk it up.

You won't get pulled over simply for tints. You had to of been doing something else wrong. I've had my tints on for more than 2 years and I've never had a problem. In fact, I got pulled over last night and they didn't say jack about it. I've been pulled over numerous times and never once did they say anything about the windows

 

Well... Make sure that his stupid tester is calibrated... The fronts should be set the 35% tint... Verify this with the shop that installed your tints, have them give you proof of the tint percentage.. Chances are the tint tester is off or the cop just want to write you-up even though it showed the correct percentage...

Don't feel bad... I got a muffler ticket in Mount Vernon from a A.S.S Hole Pig, while my car was sitting at a traffic light. The dumb fukc said "my muffler is performance base, so I need a ticket becuase it "SEEMS" noisy... Go figure??
So stay away from Mount Vernon PD, because their cops are board and probably under paid...

 

hey what tints you got??? percentage wise??

 

They were put on as 20%, but in actuality they're like 10-15%

there is a big diff between 20 amd 10 who did them for you ??? i had 20s on my jeep and they were kinda see through so i wanted to go with 15 now on my max so i'm still thinking what to do if i should go with 15s or 20s what do u think would be good with the silver mist color??
