Well I normally dont show pics of my car on threads anymore but I thought this one time would be fine since alot of people keep inquiring about it. To all the ***** that told me I needed a Body kit, well its on now.
Also put a CF hood on the car since my oem hood has too many chips from highway driving.
I installed the CF hood and bodykit myself. Bodykit is the Stillen Aero kit. I used Rivets to install the kit since I felt that was the best method and dont forsee removing it anytime soon. The CF hood was fairly easy except setting up the hoodpins and lining them up perfectly. Also since most people use some ghetto like prop to keep the hood up, I actually made my own out of a $4 3/8" metal rod from Home Depot. Just heat it up with my acetalyne/oxygen tank and bend it. Took me about 15mins to make a prop that makes it now like most standard cars without hood shocks.
And yes its still Turbo'fied.

looks good!
Hey one question that is probably stupid....can a CF hood be painted to match the body...I know that's half the reason most people get them, but if I got one it would just be for the weight reduction and I would prefer it to look stock outside...just wondering - your car looks sweeet!! Bigdog...

The CF hood can be painted, but most dont do that because they like the look of it and like to show it off. On a black car is really ncie cause its not visible until you get upto it.

I don't know too much about carbon fiber hoods, but I know you can paint it. People who do this tend too look for a certain style of hood (how it was made) because the c/f hoods tend to have imperfections or some such.
Bro, your car looks awesome. I rarely say that, but damn, your car deserves props. Where did you get your carbon fiber hood from, and do you happen to know the weight savings over stock?
i got a few questions for you.
did you use the bolts from your stock hood for the carbon fiber hood? or did it come with bolts, because i cant tell if the bolts come out of the stock hood or not.
also, did you have to cut down the bolt that goes under the hood for the hood pins to go on at all, because it seems like it would hit the back of the headlights...
last question, did that hood latch come on the carbon fiber hood?
oh wait wait, one more question :P ive seen others with carbon fiber hoods that use the hydrolic things to hold the hood up, how come you didnt?

Yes I cut the Hoodpin down 1" so it clears the assembly.
You cant use the stock hood struts because they are TOO strong. It will crack the fiberglass like a twig.
